OUR HISTORY
Always Evolving
This journey began long before the doors ever opened.
In 2021, George launched his first cannabis store, Dank Monkey, at Wheels & Smoke alongside his partners. The following year, in 2022, he joined Herbally, partnering in a growing operation that expanded to three stores. By April 2025, George made the decision to split the stores among the partners and take a new direction: rebranding his location as 224 Clubhouse.
George’s passion for cannabis is deeply personal. Growing up, his father, a retired military veteran, used cannabis to help manage PTSD. As a hyperactive child, George was introduced to cannabis early, initially consuming the flower to help calm his mind and improve focus. By grade 11, he began smoking and developed a deeper appreciation for the plant and its benefits.
As legalization spread across countries and cultures, George recognized not only the healing potential of cannabis, but also an opportunity to build something meaningful. What started as a personal passion evolved into a mission: to create a business rooted in respect for the plant, the community, and the people it serves.
224 Clubhouse represents that evolution: a space built on experience, authenticity, and love for the culture.
